Acceptable use policy

Last updated August 31, 2026

This policy sets the rules for what you may put through the fikadesk Service. It is part of the terms of service.

Scope

This policy applies to your use of the fikadesk Service and to the content you and your end users submit through it. You are responsible for the end users who act through your account.

Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Break any law in a jurisdiction where you or your end users are located.
  • Send spam, phishing, or messages the recipient did not ask for.
  • Impersonate another person or company, or forge sender information.
  • Distribute malware, exploits, or material that infringes another party's rights.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse individuals.
  • Publish sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits anyone.
  • Sell access to the Service or run a competing service on top of it.

We decide whether a use is prohibited, acting reasonably, and we may remove content or suspend access without notice where we need to stop harm.

Email

Email is the part of the Service most likely to harm third parties, so the rules here are strict. You may send email only to people who expect it. That means you have their consent, or an existing customer relationship, and you stop sending when they opt out.

You may not buy mailing lists and upload them, hide your identity in headers, or route mail through the Service to avoid another provider's block. Our outbound email includes a per-workspace suppression list, and we expect you to honor it.

Security and integrity

You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or attempt to access data that is not yours. You may not interfere with the Service's operation or place unreasonable load on it.

This does not stop you from reading, modifying, or running the open source release on your own hardware under its license. The restriction is on attacking the systems we operate for other customers.

Content and lawful basis

You must hold the rights and the lawful basis for the data you submit, including personal data about your end users. Do not submit special category data, or data about children, unless your lawful basis covers processing it through the Service.

Enforcement

If we learn that an account has violated this policy, we may remove the offending content, suspend sending, or close the account. We will tell you what we did and why where the law lets us. Serious or repeated violations end in termination of the account.

Reporting abuse

Report spam, phishing, or other abuse to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. We review reports and act on them.
